Time stands still in Weasenham wood A beautiful and unique undiscovered corner of Norfolk. The wood itself holds many secrets from the numerous bronze age tumuli to its tall towering Giant Redwoods. The Tipi (tepee, teepee, tepee) stands alone in one corner of this beautiful woodland, looking out over the only real clearing in the wood. At the end of the day as the sunsets over the woodland canopy you are alone – just you and your friends, the tipi and the wood – for a short time total tranquilty, a complete escape from the humdrum of day to day life.
You will be met by one of our Woodland Guides / Instructors who will spend sometime with you familiarizing you with the Tipi and the surrounding wood. You will be shown where the self composting toilet is as well as any other facilities can be found that you may need during your stay in the Tipi.
Your tipi comes complete with a multifuel chimnea to provide heating as well as a means of cooking, The floor is two thirds raised matting- this is the sleeping /relaxation area – we ask that outdoor footwear is removed whilst using this area.
Outside the Tipi is the Campfire area and some 20 metres away is the store cabin in here you will find Cutlery, crockery, pots & pans, emergency bedding and food, tables and chairs as well as a gas cooker. Water is supplied from the 1000 litre water holder concealed just behind the Tipi set back in amongst the trees (please ensure that the tap is firmly turned off) this is the ONLY water supply.
